This is a photo which purports to show the ‘English’ members of the group in late 1943. Three have been identified. Can anyone help with any of the others?
Those identified are:
- Front Row, left hand man wearing cap and pistol; Capt John Cowtan
- Front Row, next to Cowtan; Flt Lt Payne or Pyne
- Rear Row; Between Cowtan and Payne; WO ‘Ginger’ Davidson
The priest is Don Enrico Pocognoni who was murdered by Germans/Italian Fascists on the 24th March 1944
