Brussels

Brussels is the starting point for numerous Comète Line commemorations. Memorial plaques across Ixelles, Anderlecht and Schaerbeek mark the safe houses where helpers such as the de Jongh, de Greef and Nothomb families sheltered Allied aircrew before moving them south toward Paris. ELMS gatherings in the city often begin at the Maison de la Radio (former transmission hub) and the Avenue Emile Demot memorial stone.
